The Last Emperor Stamps

  • Pu Yi was enthroned in 1908 after Emperor Guang Xu died of illness.
  • His title of reign was known as Emperor Xuan Tong in 1909.
  • A set of three commemorative stamps was released to honour the first year of his reign.
  • The stamps :-  Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests in the Temple of     Heaven in Beijing as the central design, were printed by Waterlow & Sons, London.
