Based upon the archaeological surveys shows the remains of mankind since 50,000 BC in Kepulauan Melayu (Malay Archipelago) and Nusantara, especially in the Niah caves, State of Sarawak, Malaysia, also the arrival of iron age, as shown at State of Southern Johore, Kedah and West Borneo, these territories were occupied by traders from Southern China and India.
Javanese Empire of Majapahit extended its powerful influence to Southern Malaya and Borneo (kepulauan Melayu) in the early 14th century, and replaced by the Islamic Kingdoms in early 15th century, where the Islamic Empire of Malacca Sultanate was established in the region of Malay Archipelago.

Srivijayan Hindu prince, Parameswara, fourth ruler of Temasik (Singapore of today), forced by Siamese and flee to Muar and later on to Sungai Ujong in State of Johore, finally settled down at Bertam River and formed his Kingdom of Malacca (named after the Malacca Tree, "Phyllanthus emblica"). This is the birth of the history of Malacca and Malaysia.
In 1409, when Parameswara married a daughter of a Muslim ruler, he converted to Islam, assumed the Muslim name of Iskandar Shah. This is the history of Islamic state in Malaysia.
During the ruling period of Sultan Mansur Shah of Malacca, States of Palembang, Jambi, Pasai, Siak, Sumantara, Lingga and Inderagiri, Sungai Ujong, Pulau Bertam and Singapore, were under the control of Malacca Sultanate, until August of 1511, Malacca was conquered by the Portuguese , under command of Alfonso D'Albuquerque (1511-1641).
