Where These Money Came From? Country of Origin - Malacca

      After the Dutch occupied the Malacca in 1641, with their powerful influence in the Netherlands East Indies (N.E.I.) which included all Dutch control in Java, Sumantara, Moluccas Islands and Malacca.

Series of Dutch-Malacca Coins

    Dutch East India Company (Verenidge Oostindische Compagnie, V.O.C.) , in fact, have a full monopoly on trade for 150 years, without any foreign power interference, 1641-1825.
    Normally, coins for use by the V.O.C., the Dutch East India Company in the Netherlands East Indies (N.E.I.) were struck in the seven provinces of Holland: Province of Holland "HOL", Province of West Friesland "WESTF", Province of Zeeland (ZEEL", Province of Utrecht "TRAI", Province of Geldeiand "GEL", Province of Overijsel "TRASNSL" and Province of Groningen.
    The common name of the coins used and named " DOIT, Half or One", crowned shield of the each Province on obverse, with the monogram " 
    oVc  " of the Dutch E.I.C. Mint mark aherring buis (boat) on reverse, diameter is 17mm, plain edge, copper composition, weighted at 1.8g, for "Half Doit" and specification of "One Doit" is plain edge, average diameter is 21mm, copper composition, weighted at 3.6g.
    Other type of Dutch coins, commonly named as " "Hlf Guider", "Ducatoon or Silver Rider", "Quarter Stiver, Half Stiver ", " Book One/Two Stiver", "Java Rupee (Silver)", "Java Ducat(Gold/Silver)" etc.
